Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) is the post-accreditation quality sustenance measure devised according to the guidelines of the NAAC. Every Higher Education Institution (HEI) should have an internal quality assurance system, with appropriate structures and processes, and with enough flexibility to meet the diverse needs of the stakeholders. The IQAC shall channelise and systematize the efforts and measures of an institution towards academic excellence. It should become a driving force for ushering in quality by working out intervention strategies to remove deficiencies and enhance quality. The basic purposes of the IQAC are:
-
To ensure continuous improvement in the entire operations of the Institution, and
-
To assure stake holders connected with higher education – students, parents, teachers, staff, employers, funding agencies and the society in general – of the accountability of the institution for its own quality and probity.
